On the spur of the moment, Marcia and I decided to celebrate Memorial Day by setting up a tent downtown on the square for the Phippen Show.
This is a show we have participated in off and on over the years, it’s actually where I got my big break as a western artist. This year we just happened to have a few original paintings from our galleries for the Booth Western Art Museum Studio Tour which toured our studios a few weeks ago and when we found out one of our favorite spots opened up on the square, we went for it!
This means a lot of hauling easels and paintings downtown, just like the good old days, but it also means we get to say “Howdy!” to everyone we haven’t seen in a while.
